I’ve have been kickn’ it with the crew at Hardcore for a while now. I work with a great bunch of artists. What can I say, I like green eggs and ham, Sam I am. I like them here or there, I like them everywhere.

My life journeys have taken me afar. I live with a guitar; I live in a jar; Over by the car.  Tattoos are cool. I like to paint this or that. Maybe a cat, in a hat...with a bat...on the mat....not with a gat.

OK, seriously.  I really love the art, and giving someone something that will last forever, it’s kinda a big deal.

I'm into art, pin-striping, Hot rods and of course choppers baby!!,,,GO EASY RIDER!!,,,cept' for the shitty ending of course.  The bike you see is mine, garage built, with some help (thanks all!!!!).

Special thanks to my wife, your opinions, suggestions and help w/the build and of course, pushing the bike when we ran out of gas!!!!.  You rock Kitty-Kat :)

There are so many great artists that I am influenced by, that take tattooing to a whole new level,,,just incredible.  Thank you Steve for giving me a chance to become a tattoo artist.  I've met tons of people through tattooing, and you’re all crazy,,,,,I mean that in a good way,,really!  Please send hate mail and cash anytime.

My name is Rick I am 31 years old and have been working at Hardcore Tattoo for 6 years as the piercer.  I have a wife and two children. I enjoy spending time with them and on my free time I enjoy riding my chopper and playing basketball.  I am an outgoing person who loves to meet new people.

I have really come a long way as a body piercer.  When I first started out six years ago I was really nervous and not sure if this was the direction I was ready to go.  As time went on I became more and more experienced and interested and realized this is what I enjoy doing.  My main goal is to make sure the piercing is what the customer wants and is done correctly.

Always focused on artwork, from the basic fundamentals to the complexity of color theory, light to dark rendering-composition, structure dynamics, figure sculpting.

Thanks to Hank I’ve been able to expand my artwork to the field of tattooing, and tattooing well.

I grew up in large southern California areas where graffiti was inevitable everywhere you go. I soon was placing my artistic mark anywhere that it would fit.

Some of my work is detail orientated, a real loose graffiti look, surreal with small amounts of color depth.

Despite my hard exterior, I’m a very good natured and friendly guy.  I’m serious and direct which can sometimes come off a little rough.

I’m a self-taught tattoo artist. I started tattooing at the age of 21.
After working out of my house for a few months, I was hired on at a local shop where I tattooed for about 2 years before opening Hardcore in 1995.

I enjoy all styles of tattooing, especially black & gray, portraits.  I also love Japanese style tattoos.

I moved to Iowa in 1986 from California. I am a lifelong skateboarder. I love to skate pools.  I also cut, grind, weld, fabricate, paint......anything I can chop and modify in my garage.  I love working on bikes because I can combine all of these skills into one project.  I also airbrush and do some leather work.
